We’re Doing a Thing: Brandon Heggie Coaching
So… we’re doing a thing.
As a few of you know, back in September I started school to become a health coach. It’s a 12-month program focused on Functional Medicine and health coaching, and it’s been eye-opening in the best way. I’ve always wondered what I might do with my career if I ever wanted to shift directions someday. No — I’m not quitting my full-time job. But I’ve learned to keep my eyes open to possibilities, to joy, to purpose, and to the things that benefit not just me, but the people I serve and my family.
If you know me, you know I can be quiet in the day-to-day. But put me in front of a large crowd, and I absolutely thrive. Teaching, sharing, being vulnerable — I come alive there. And over the last few years, I’ve been through a lot. I’ve grown through all of it.
For the longest time, I thought what I had was PTSD, because that was the narrative I thought I was “supposed” to fit into. The stigma kind of boxes you in that way. But that wasn’t my story. I had burnout, with a side of depression and anxiety. I didn’t even know burnout could hit that hard until about three months after I left work for a mental health hiatus.
That break taught me more about myself than I ever expected. I learned from my wife, Dani. From yoga instructors. From psychologists, therapists, nutritionists — the whole spectrum. The problem was, even with all that help, I didn’t know how to walk the walk because none of it felt familiar. It was uncharted territory. I didn’t have a guide except for Dani… and let me tell you, it was challenging.
But now? Now I stand on stages and talk about burnout, imposter syndrome, empathy, and even nutrition. And I’ve learned something big:
I have more to offer than just speaking to large crowds.
I can sit with people who want support. I can help them see what they already know but haven’t been able to name yet.
So I’m here.
I’m here for you.
Your path is your own, and always will be — but I can help you move in the direction you’re wanting to go. I’m here to help you navigate the mental constructs of life, build resilience, and reconnect with the parts of yourself that deserve to be seen.
And Dani? She’s not just a massage therapist.
She’s a Mind-Body Bridge practitioner.
A hypnotherapist.
A facilitator who helps you connect the dots between your mind and body so you can elevate — and eliminate — the thoughts and patterns that are holding you back.
We’re growing our businesses together because we love this work. We’re passionate about it. And we know people need it.
In the future, we’ll be opening a retreat center — a place where people can learn these skills, deepen their self-awareness, and grow within a like-minded community. There will be virtual groups, in-person groups, and opportunities for people to show up exactly as they are and heal on a bigger scale.
And if that speaks to you, if any part of this resonates, then we’d love for you to join us.
Healing is coming — and we’d be honored to walk alongside you in it.
